Near Death

AfterlifeI think this sermon series that we’re in is simply fascinating. Taking a biblical look at everything that surrounds death, and the afterlife. In the ministry, death is something that is simply unavoidable.

Perhaps it’s because people feel a need to define themselves spiritually as they near the end of their physical life, or because as we age, the material things of this world become far less important, and pale in the comparison of what’s really important, but, in following Christ, death seems to be a subject we talk about.

I wonder- Have any of you had near death experiences? Do you know someone who has? Have you had your life flash before your eyes, maybe in a car accident or some other traumatic experience? Maybe we know someone who hasn’t seen the “light”, but rather seen the other side, hell…

See you Sunday

The final resting place

undefined
Friends, We’re currently in our series, “The AfterLife”. This week, we’ll begin our journey through the biblical perspective on all things “after life.” It’s interesting that we have such an attraction, a curiosity about the end of our physical life. Also interestingly enough, the Bible describes our journey to the Kingdom in various ways, adding to the mystery.

Since this week we’ll be focusing on resurrection and reincarnation, I couldn’t help but wonder to myself, what we, as the church, take on what happens after we die?

So friends, post away in the comments. Sound off - what happens when we cease to exist as we know it? What do you feel the biblical take on it is? What’s your take? Is there a take?

See you Sunday-

Kurt
